Britney's Comeback Pt. 2

How cute is the new cover of TV GUIDE?!

Finally, things are really going well for Britney Spears! She's been visiting with her sons, her new music video premiered last week, and now she's making her return to the small screen. As I'm sure everyone already knows, Britney will have a quest spot on the March 24th episode of How I Met Your Mother. And cast members of the show have had nothing but nice things to say about her:

"She was hilarious in the table-read, and I got to see her do the run-through as well, and she was great," said Jason Segal. "She was great and lovely and couldn't be sweeter."

Alyson Hannigan said, "I was just surprised how funny she is. She just nailed her jokes, and she's really playing a character. And it's so sweet, and so endearing, and I just, I love her."

And, my favorite How I Met Your Mother star, Neil Patrick Harris, said, "She is good. When we did the run through, she seemed a little nervous and wore big sunglasses the whole time. I think that's a bit of a security blanket. But she seems very professional."

Here are some of the first pictures from the episode:

That's not all. Apparently, Britney's dinner with Mel Gibson over the weekend wasn't her first. PEOPLE magazine is reporting that the pair and their families have met a number of times in the last month.

A source says, "Mel and his wife Robin clearly saw a woman in crisis and wanted to extend themselves in any way possible."

"There's just a handful of people in the world who understand the kind of intense attention that Britney goes through, and how to raise a family with some semblance of privacy and how to keep one's family intact and out of the limelight," the source adds.

"There are no expectations, there is no agenda. It's simply an act of human kindness – one neighbor reaching out to the other."

WOW, all of this positive news is really overwhelming! Now, if only Britney wasn't just ordered to pay upwards of $375,000 dollars in legal fees to Kevin's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan. That's a bummer.
