Official Album Cover

Here it is! The beautiful debut of the Circus CD cover art! Thanks BritneySpears.com.

Update: Here's the (rumored) back cover:

A lot of Britney's fans don't seem to like the artistic concept of the Circus layout (including the borders and the blue stars), but I think it's sweet. It's very Britney circa 1990's, the height of her career.

Have A Barack'n Halloween

"I'm gonna be a pumpkin [for Halloween]," the Democratic candidate kidded with Ryan Seacrest on Seacrest's KIIS-FM morning radio show Friday.

But going out in costume with daughters Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, really isn't an option this year. "Last year I wore a rubber mask, so people didn't know who I was," he said. "This year, even if I wear a rubber mask, if I've got six Secret Service around me, it will probably attract [some attention]."

But that doesn't mean others can't go trick-or-treating in Barack's place. Check out Seal with his wife Heidi Klum:

Update: At the end of the day, Barack did manage to squeeze in some Halloween time with his girls.

To Vote Or Not To Vote?

Leonardo DiCaprio has done it again! He's created another PSA encouraging (and "discouraging") people to vote on November 4th. And, this time, he's called upon the BIGGEST names in Hollywood (sans Brangelina & George Clooney) to help him get the message across. See for yourself, click HERE.

Are You Serious?

My favorite actor in the world, Joaquin Phoenix, announced his plans to quit acting at a charity benefit for Paul Newman in San Francisco on Monday.

He said, "I want to take this opportunity ... to give you the exclusive and just talk a little bit about the fact that this will be my last performance as an actor. I'm not doing films anymore." His rep confirmed the retirement to Extra.

Apparently, he plans to work on music instead.

So, let me get this straight: He's 34-years-old, has 2 Oscar nominations under his belt, is an extremely talented, dedicated actor with immense potential for a legendary career that's just getting started, and he's going to quit! Are you kidding me with this?

Joaquin, you've already proven you can act and sing at the same time, so stick to it!

Obama Goes Prime-Time

Tonight, Senator Barack Obama will use his prime-time infomercial to make what is effectively a "closing argument" to a national audience of millions. According to The New York Times, at times he will speak directly into the camera about his 20-month campaign, at others he will highlight everyday voters, their everyday troubles, and his plans to address them. The 30-minute program will run on four broadcast networks at 8 p.m. Be there!

Lakers Blaze By

Kobe Bryant led the team with 23 points and 11 rebounds as the Lakers cruised by the visiting Blazers, 96-76, in Tuesday's season opener!

Tonight, the Lakers take on the Clippers.

Want A Body Like Britney?

Yesterday

I had a very long day yesterday. I was up at 4AM, on the road at 6AM, and on my way to a movie shoot at 8AM. I was an extra in a film called Sorority Row, starring Rumer Willis (Audrina Patridge, from The Hills, also has a small role).

The film's slated release date is October 2, 2009, and the plot goes like this: After covering up the death of their house mother after a prank makes a deadly turn, a group of sorority sisters are stalked and killed one-by-one by a masked serial killer whilst celebrating their graduation.

I played a graduating senior at a fictional college called Rosman University. The script called for a "spring graduation," but, let me tell you, it was COLD outside! We shot a graduation ceremony scene and a few post-ceremony scenes. Rumer was on set, and very cute, as was actor Julian Morris (who was very cute as well. Go Google him!). I also noticed Matt Lanter, who did a few episodes of HEROES during season one. He played the loser that Claire got in a "car crash."

After filming wrapped, I waited in line for a couple of hours to see the next President of the United States, Sen. Barack Obama, deliver his "closing argument" at a Change We Need rally! It was the 3rd time I've seen him, but just as thrilling. He kept saying, "One more week" to change America! He even made a joke about how 99.9% of plumbers will get a tax cut under has tax plan. The crowd loved it!

Here are a few pictures:

As you can see, I was a bit far from the stage.

Then, when I finally got home, my family was in scrambles because my cousin was rushed to the hospital to have a baby! All went well and we now have a new addition to our family, a beautiful baby girl named Reagann. Cheers!

Thing's Did Not Get UGLY

You've probably heard the rumors about Lindsay Lohan getting booted from 'Ugly Betty' because of diva-like antics and a feud with the shows star. But, according to the cast, the rumors are just that: rumors.

America Ferrera's rep told the [New York] Post, "America is grateful to have had [Lindsay] on the show and thinks everyone should tune in to see how great the episodes are."

Vanessa Williams told WENN that the stories about Lindsay being difficult to work with are simply not true. She said, "That's what the press does, that's what gossip's about, and media is about. I had a few scenes with Lindsay. She was a hard worker, she showed up on time and in the scenes I had with her, she was completely prepared. In terms of me working with Lindsay, she was professional, she knew her lines and she was great with me."

Becki Newton told MTV News, "I think it's hysterical. It's like right out of a script for 'Ugly Betty.' We had a great time shooting [with Lindsay]. I'm not sure how many episodes she did, but if you watch the show, you'll see that her story line ended exactly the way it was supposed to end, and we had a great experience filming with her."

And, lastly, Lindsay's rep said that "Lindsay was scheduled for six episodes and is appearing in four but had a lovely time."

So, now that that's cleared up, here's a preview for the upcoming episode:

It looks really good! Linds makes a great addition to the show!

Kobe Gets Risky

If anything could convince me to play Guitar Hero, it's the new commercial featuring Kobe Bryant, Alex Rodriguez, Michael Phelps, and Tony Hawk. Check out Kobe channeling Tom Cruise in Risky Business:

We'll Always Have High School

Here are some of the outtakes from PEOPLE magazine's High School Musical 3: Senior Year photo shoot:

Totally Fucked Up!

"There's a moment you know... you're fucked." This is that moment. The 2007 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Spring Awakening will close on Sunday, January 18th, at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre in NYC.

The producers released a statement saying, "When this incredible journey began, who would have imagined, we'd play close to 900 Broadway performances, win eight Tony Awards, and recoup the shows investment in just 8 months? Spring Awakening was a glorious challenge from the very start, a challenge that a remarkable creative team took on and transformed into a life-changing experience. And while our Broadway run will come to an end this January, Spring Awakening will continue to touch audiences across the country, through our national tour, and around the world, with productions soon to open in London, Vienna, Toronto, Helsinki, and Seoul."

I'm so sad! Isn't this the bitch of living?

A Day At The Pumpkin Patch

Britney, Jayden, Sean, and Brit's assistant Brett posed for a photograph for BritneySpears.com while picking pumpkins at Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch on Doheny Drive in West Hollywood Thursday.

Britney told her official website that the boys jumped on the "jumpin pumpkin" trampoline and had a blast.

In Theaters Now!

Update: I just got back from High School Musical 3 and here's what I thought: It wasn't better than the second, and nowhere near as good as the first, but it didn't need to be. It was enjoyable, fun, bright, and full of musical numbers (some much better than others). I sat amongst a crowd of mostly elementary schoolers and they loved it. They screamed, and cheered, and danced. I have to admit I teared up at the end, The HSM phenomenon has been a blast, but I'm glad it's the final film. Go Wildcats!

Stumping For McCain

The most hated couple in Hollywood, The Hills stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, show their support for the GOP by carrying a shotgun, a case of beer, Henry Browne’s “You Can Profit From A Monetary Crisis,” and by wearing McCain/Palin t-shirts. Heidi’s shirt reads: “Read My Lipstick: Vote McCain-Palin.” Spencer’s shirt reads: “Palin For VP: God, Guns, Glory.”

Are they trying to make the McCain/Palin ticket look uninviting?

Sean Hayes Heading Back to Broadway?

You may remember me blogging, months ago, about a possible Promises, Promises Broadway revival that would star Sean Hayes and Anne Hathaway. Well, after Sean signed on to do Damn Yankess I thought it was just a rumor, but the buzz is back! Apparently there was a closed reading at Playwright's Horizons Rehearsal Studio over the weekend starring Sean (AHH!!!) and Anne. And, a BroadwayWorld.com source said that they stunned the audience with their performances. Maybe this means Promises, Promises will be the production that replaces Hairspray at the Neil Simon Theatre!

Equus Weekend

On Saturday, October 18th, I experienced an amazing day in the city! That afternoon I became "BFF's" with Katie Holmes' driver who gave my family and I the VIP treatment when it came to meeting Katie at the stage door after All My Sons. To our delight, she was one of the nicest celebrities we've ever met! And, she's just as beautiful in person, but much smaller than one would imagine. We also met John Lithgow, Dianne Wiest and Patrick Wilson.

Later that evening we rushed to the Broadhurst Theatre to see EQUUS, and OMG was it thrilling! When the light's went down, and the eiry music started to play, my cousin grabbed my hand as we waiting for Daniel to appear. And, when he did, it was as if the earth shifted. Seriously, it was a monumental experience!

I was on the edge of my seat from the beginning of the play to the end. It was thrilling, striking, and utterly disturbing. Not for one minute did I think of Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter, but instead a highly psychotic boy with a violent fascination. He is so brave to take on that role.

Richard Griffiths was just as good, and I expect he'll get a Tony nomination. Daniel is the draw, but Richard carries the show.

And, because I know everyone's curious, the nude scene wasn't bad at all. As expected, it came at the absolute climax of the production, during a scene that had me crying and left me shaken. Honestly, I didn't think much of it. But the play was very sexual, and a bit too much for my mother.

That brings me to the stage door. It was the craziest thing I've ever seen. There were hundreds of people on one side of the street, hundreds of people on the other side of the street, police patrolling on horseback, and tons of security.

Needless to say, I did not meet "the one," but I have until February to do so. There was about three rows of people in front of me, but from what I could see he was very chatty and very nice.

This is the best video capture I got:

It's a bit blurry, but it'll have to do for now.

I did get Richard's autograph though.

Update: Here's a cool promo video of EQUUS footage!

He Was A Soldier, Honor Him

The 1,800-year-old stone mausoleum on the banks of the River Tiber was hailed by experts as an "extraordinary discovery" and one of the most important Roman finds for decades.

It was built to contain the remains of Marcus Nonius Macrinus, a proconsul and a favourite of Marcus Aurelius, who ruled as emperor from 161 AD to his death in 180 AD.

Macrinus was born in Brescia, in northern Italy, and won victories leading Roman legions into battle.

He became a confidant of Emperor Aurelius, being appointed a proconsul in Asia Minor and describing himself as "chosen out of the closest friends".

Elements of his life were incorporated into Maximus Decimus Meridius, the fictional character for which Crowe won an Oscar in the 2000 film Gladiator, directed by Ridley Scott.

In the award-winning film, Maximus is a battle-hardened general and a protégé of the emperor, just as Marcus Nonius Macrinus was.

The intricately carved marble tomb, complete with a stone inscription identifying it as that of Macrinus, was found near the Via Flaminia, one of the arterial roads which led in and out of ancient Rome.

The jumble of broken columns, friezes and stone blocks was discovered during the demolition of a warehouse, along with remarkably intact parts of the original Roman road.

"It's been at least 20 or 30 years since a relic of this importance has come to light in Rome," said a senior archeologist, Daniela Rossi.

Over the centuries parts of the tomb crumbled into the Tiber but enough has been recovered during months of painstaking excavation work that experts are discussing the possibility of reconstructing it as the focus of an archeological park.

In the award-winning film, Emperor Marcus Aurelius, played by Richard Harris, is murdered by his ruthless son Commodus, who declares himself emperor and sets about destroying Maximus, ordering the murder of his wife and child.

Slave traders take the shattered Maximus to North Africa, where he is sold to a gladiator school and trained as a fighter.

Returning to Rome seeking revenge, he eventually kills Commodus in a bloody showdown in the Colosseum, which was famous for its gladiatorial contests.

The film's scriptwriters also based the character of Maximus on Spartacus, who led a slave revolt against Rome in the 1st century BC, and Narcissus, a wrestler who brought Commodus' reign as emperor to an abrupt end by strangling him.

Commodus is believed to have been the only Roman emperor to have taken part in gladiatorial contests.

Last year archeologists in Rome found a mosaic which they believe depicts a favourite sparring partner of the emperor, named Montanus.

The mosaic shows the gladiator holding a trident over a prone opponent who he has apparently defeated in hand-to-hand combat.

Ridley Scott's masterpiece, Gladiator, is my favorite movie of all time, and I am it's biggest fan! The film, and the story of Maximus, is absolutely thrilling, as is this discovery! (But, I must point out that my favorite character is Commodus. I love Joaquin Phoenix!)

Keeping Us Honest

I made my usual Borders pitt-stop this afternoon and I noticed that my man Anderson Cooper graces the cover of Best Life magazine! Check it out:

Also, another one of my guys, Zachary Quinto, is on the cover of Entertainment Weekly. How very Spock! Take a look at those eyebrows:

Sticky Not Sweet

Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie are ending their almost-eight-year marriage, a rep for the singer confirmed Wednesday.

"The main concern for Madonna and Guy are their children – the security of their children in all senses of the word and the wellbeing of their children," rep Liz Rosenberg tells PEOPLE. "That's the priority for both of them moving forward. It's a sad situation."

The former couple, who have Rocco, 8, and David, 3, together and Madonna's 12-year-old daughter Lourdes with ex Carlos Leon, announced their divorce in a statement.

"Madonna and Guy Ritchie have agreed to divorce after seven-and-a-half years of marriage. They have both requested that the media maintain respect for their family at this difficult time," says the statement.

The statement says they have not agreed to a settlement.

It's a sad, sad day in the world of celebrity. But Madge appears to be OK post divorce announcement. She spent the day in her Upper West Side NYC apartment and will perform a concert in Boston tonight.

JJ Does Good Work

Over the weekend, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel hosted a "Last Chance to Change" rally in Las Vegas to support Sen. Barack Obama's bid for the White House. Justin was quoted as saying: "We've never publicly endorsed before. But we've never been so inspired by one person." I hear he even performed a little song called "Vote in a Box." How cool is that!?

Here are some photos from the fabulous event:
