Eco Chic

Summer is the perfect time to "go green," and what better way to do so than by buying a fashionable eco-friendly bag. (Remember last summer's ever-so-famous "I'm Not A Plastic Bag" by Anya Hindmarch?) Make a statement at the grocery store, on the beach, or while running errands! Here are a few cheap, yet chic, ideas:

"The Inconvenient Bag" can be purchased at ShopIntuition for only $19.99. It's made from 100% biodegradable cotton canvas, with non-toxic inks and dyes, and is sturdy enough to hold up to 45 pounds. "The Inconvenient Bag" features two styles (as seen below): "A New Day" and "A Little Less."

Target is offering "Lulu Canvas Shopper Totes" for a mere $10.00, a "Contents Recycled Tote" for $16.99, and a red "Standard Reusable Shopping Bag" for an awesome $1.49!

And, ecobags.com has 13 different "Totes with Quotes." My favorite is the "Get Hip Get Green" bag that costs $5.99. Every bag purchased means a donation will go to The Green Ambassadors, a high school eco-ed program.

Yeah, they're definitely the way to go. They look much better than plastic bags, they're better to carry around, and over here in the UK more and more supermarkets are giving incentives to re-use bags. Saves them money too, so everyone wins!
