You've heard about the Harry Potter prequel, haven't you? Well, J.K. Rowling wrote the 800-word story (set 3-years before Harry was born, and based on his father James Potter and BFF Sirius Black) on postcard for Waterstone's annual charity auction. Proceeds will benefit the writers' association English PEN and a dyslexia charity.
The auction was held on Tuesday, and the 'Potter' prequel sold for $48,858! Now, you can read it online HERE, and soon a copy of the card, along with copies of the other participating authors cards, will be collected into a book and sold in August. You can already pre-order yours, and I suggest you do so, HERE.
