Don't Mess With KB24
The news today is that Curt Schilling, of the Boston Red Sox, called out Kobe Bryant for yelling at his Los Angeles Lakers’ teammates. Curt sat courtside during Game 2 in Boston and was within earshot of the Lakers’ bench. He then wrote down his observations on his blog, saying that Kobe came to the bench angry at every timeout and “yelled about something they weren’t doing, or something they did wrong."
Now, Kobe has already responded by saying, "Go Yankees!" But, I have something to say.
Curt, Kobe is the best player in the league, the best player on that team, the most experienced player on that team and the captain of that team. If anyone has a right to yell at those young, inexperienced players, it's Kobe (and Phil). And, perhaps you're forgetting why he was yelling at them. It was because they SUCKED that night! From a Lakers fans perspective, thank God Kobe stepped in when he did and told those guys to step up. I mean, we were massacred the entire game, down 24 at the beginning of the 4th, and, thanks to Kobe, brought the game within two points before the end almost making one of the greatest comebacks in NBA playoff history.
